I worked with Richard Kipling for many years – first at the LA Times, and then at a program that he and and later Roger Smith developed. It was called the USC Center for Health Journalism, and it was one of the best jobs my colleagues and I ever had. We traveled all over California, writing about health care issues. I am so sorry to hear about Richard. He was one of the most inspiring editors I’ve ever had. I plan to gather the gathering to honor him.
