My name is Margaret Ramirez and I was in the METPRO Class of 1995-96 – photo attached- that’s me in the front with the light grey jacket.
I was one of the many young Latinos who blossomed under Richard’s wings.
With no published clips and only writing samples from Journalism School, he gave me the chance to prove myself as a reporter.
He seemed to have even more confidence in me, than I did in myself, which was something that warmed my heart and helped me succeed.
He pushed and guided us, and I will always be grateful to him.
